This policy covers the Lofty app and website. Lofty is published by Paws and Claws Studio and is a FINdustries product.

Lofty is designed as a private reflection practice. This policy explains what the app handles, where it stays, and the limited information we may use to improve reliability.

Information you create

Your favorites, recently viewed questions, custom questions, reminder choices, and evidence-journal entries are stored locally on your device. Some question and preference data is shared locally with the Lofty widget through Apple’s App Group technology. We do not receive the content of your journal entries, custom questions, or searches.

Notifications and sharing

Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. When you choose to share a question, iOS presents Apple’s share sheet and sends the content only to the destination you select. Lofty does not know which destination you choose.

Analytics and diagnostics

Apple may provide App Store diagnostics that help us understand crashes, launch performance, sessions, and broad usage trends, subject to Apple’s privacy protections and reporting thresholds.

With the in-app “Share usage analytics” control enabled (called “Share anonymous analytics” in earlier builds), Lofty sends a limited, allow-listed set of product-interaction events to PostHog in the United States. Events use a device-linked installation identifier; they are not fully anonymous. They help us understand onboarding, questions, ratings, favorites, sharing, reminders, and Meditate, along with purchase and restore outcomes. PostHog autocapture, session replay, advertising identifiers, and person profiles are disabled.

The website may send product-page events to PostHog when its public ingestion token is configured. These events are limited to page and App Store-link interactions plus campaign source labels and may use a browser identifier.

We do not send question text, journal text, custom-question text, search terms, exact reminder schedules, names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, payment card details, Apple payment credentials, or health information to product analytics. Apple handles subscription payments; purchase-outcome analytics do not contain your payment credentials. You can turn off future app analytics collection in Settings.

Tracking and advertising

Lofty does not sell personal information or show targeted advertising. Starting with beta build 22, optional creator attribution is provided by GoMarketMe. With your permission through Apple’s tracking prompt, device identifiers, device and operating-system details, language, time zone, screen dimensions, and purchase and subscription information are shared to credit creators who introduce people to Lofty. Network requests also expose your IP address to the service. GoMarketMe’s policy describes approximate location derived from IP addresses. Your journal entries, custom-question text, and payment credentials are not shared with GoMarketMe.

You can decline without losing any app features or subscription access, and change permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. This permission is separate from the “Share usage analytics” setting. Earlier builds do not include creator attribution. Retention and deletion

You can remove locally stored information using the app’s controls where available or by deleting the app. Removing the app also removes its local data, subject to normal device backups managed by Apple.

Children

Lofty is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. Privacy requests can be emailed to privacy@pawsandclaws.studio; general requests can be submitted through the support page.
